Catnip Kitchen Food Adventures

Hey there! My name is Treesa and those that have met me, know food is never far from my mind. Over the years, there’s been many jokes about me being a Hobbit simply because I was a German/Taiwanese halfling who occasionally indulges in a second breakfast.

Although my adventures have not taken me across middle-earth, I am known for testing out new recipes, experimenting with different ingredient combinations and an overall passion for all things food and our two fluffy cats.

If more of us valued food and cheer above hoarded gold, it would be a much merrier world.

Catnip Kitchen is a cooking blog that I started in 2022, after my sister kept asking me for recipes because she couldn’t wait for me to come around with the next batch of cookies and wanted to make some of her favourites herself… So I decided to chronicle all my recipes in the form of a blog, named after the favourite treat of our two cats.

It’s also turned into a creative corner where I share my experiment with new recipes and ingredients, in the search for new flavour combinations, and a way of adding my own twist to classic dishes I grew up with. I’ve put the latest food trends to the test for you, providing reviews on popular recipes, star ingredients and food hacks so you won’t have to waste your time figuring out whether they’re worth the hype. You can simply sit back, relax and crunch down on some popcorn as you read through my bite-sized adventures about foodhack failures, sweet successes and the quest for the best recipes out there.

Catnip Kitchen is now a place for fellow food lovers to get their daily fix of tasty food. It has a mixture of delicious desserts like Raspberry Tarts and Nutty Choc-Chip Cookies, comfort foods like Cheesy German Pasta; and some healthier dishes like our Summer Salads.
